  1. Hi George. I just recently got around into watching and doing this great tutorial. I have got everything working on my Mac Pro however, when im connecting with my Mac book pro I am getting a dialogue thats reads.
    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: UNPROTECTED PRIVATE KEY FILE! @
    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Permissions 0644 for ‘/Users/username/.ssh/id_rsa’ are too open.
It is recommended that your private key files are NOT accessible by others.
This private key will be ignored.
    bad permissions: ignore key: /Users/username/.ssh/id_rsa
    Permission denied (publickey).
    User-MacBook-Pro:~ username$

Im not sure what Im doing wrong. I have copied the the id_rsa key into the ~./ssh folder as instructed but I get no luck. Everything else on the Mac pro’s end is working fine including in via cyberduck.
remoteing. Any words of wisdom directed my way are greatly appreciated Ive been at this for two days now and im starting to see fumes.

    Thanks!!

  2. that wants you to change the permissions on the key. go into the folder and try chmod 600 id_rsa
That will change the permissions from 644. It did not used to be so picky.
